Eddie the Electron
Mezmer Studios created the mascot for the Texas Initiative, developing the character from concept through design, animation, sound, and finish under a tight deadline. The project included a series of animated shorts and social assets, with EDDIE ON THE ROAD developed start to finish in only four days.
Recent Campaign Shorts
Mezmer Studios produced campaign and brand content for clients across New Mexico, Idaho, and Virginia. Work spans live-action editorial cut, graded, and finished to score, motion design mixing stock footage with custom graphics, and fully animated brand films built from the ground up. Each project delivered concept to screen.

Technical Operations, Cinema
Before founding Mezmer, our director previously worked in Technical Operations for Dolby Cinema where he served as a catch-all lead across mastering, content preparation, and screening workflows. His work included creating Digital Cinema Packages using DVS Clipster, operating the Dolby Burbank Umlang screening room, QCing and distributing content and keys, producing video and still assets, and managing archival and data processes. In addition to technical operations, he performed Dolby Cinema trims for several major studio features such as The Eras Tour and Joy Ride.
Below are select motion design pieces created during that time:
A selection of the Audio Visual Pathways created while at Dolby, they scroll at 17s. These would be projected onto 5.5-12m walls outside Dolby Cinemas. Over 100 AVPs were created for major studios and Capitol Records events. Each of these massive videos contained a large amount of detail that can’t be seen here.
This played before the Barbie premiere and was then requested by WB to play in front of all Barbie screenings, a first in Dolby history.
Killers of the Flower Moon bumper. This was approved by Martin Scorsese and played at the global premiere of the film.
This was created for the premiere of Haunted Mansion. Ideated, Atmos mixed, Vision color graded, and DCP packaged in just 2 days. Acclaimed as one of the best Dolby bumpers by several members of the Cinema department.
Created this spec Dolby commercial with the hopes that Dolby Marketing would take on the concept that “Everything is Better in Dolby” shortened to “Better in Dolby” for placements in film credits, branded experiences, and an overall campaign aimed at brand awareness. Original music was scored as well. Made before the AMC “We Make Movies Better”.

Bonemaro was a creative partnership between Michael Butler and Jordan Walsh. The work we created together focused on branding, identity systems, and motion, and remains an important part of the foundation that eventually led to the creation of Mezmer Studios. Below is a selection of work from that period:

Every story that has ever been told exists somewhere, and somewhere between all of them are the Izian Isles.

About Mezmer Studios
The worlds and stories we create have the power to spark curiosity, excitement, and possibility.
Mezmer Studios began as a place to unite worldbuilding, visual storytelling, and identity systems under one creative voice. What started as a personal vision has grown into a practice focused on clear ideas, strong craft, and imaginative concepts for brands, stories, and experiences.
Before founding Mezmer, Michael Butler led mastering and QC at Dolby for hundreds of Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos releases, spanning theatrical premieres, global campaigns, and major studio deliveries. That background shaped the studio’s commitment to precision, clarity, and high-fidelity storytelling.
Today Mezmer specializes in branding, animation, and creative direction, building memorable work that stays true to a brand’s purpose and intent. Projects span identity design, motion, worldbuilding, and immersive concept development, grounded in systems thinking and a dedication to thoughtful craft.
